Steve Clarke owner of Canarian Dreams has been involved in surfing and windsurfing for over 30 years. Living in Cornwall Steve has been close to the surf for most of his life and is passionate about waves and the way of life.

Canary Islands

Most surfers know the Canary Islands as the Hawaii of Europe. Here you can find conditions to suit all levels from beginner who needs surfing tuition to world class champions who really rip on the large winter waves.

Lanzarote

Our base is Playa Famara where you can stay in beachside bungalows and villas with pools. We have our own on site rep to meet you on arrival and show you to your accommodation.

Surfing tuition

Fuerteventura

Surfing tuition is available with Quicksilver surf school (Previously known as MATADOR) run courses around the Corralejo/El Cotillo areas. Run by ex long board champ Joachim Hirsch

Windsurfing

Costa Teguise, Las Cucharas beach on Lanzarote is the place to go for excellent all round conditions, with flat water blasting, slalom and wave riding on the reef. Courses and rentals are available from Windsurf Paradise.

Flag Beach in Corralejo on Fuerteventura is the home of Flag Beach Windsurf. Ben Thomas has been running courses and rentals for many years now in this excellent location.

Expert windsurfers head for El Cotillo and the many reefs on the north track. Corky Kirkam is well known for his surf bar in Corralejo and can be seen riding some of the biggest waves on the island.
